HALL GREEN
This is typical residential land use of the outer ring of a large city. Note there are front gardens and garages. These are semi-detached houses.
This is taken on the main Stratford road. In the outer ring the road is wide because it is a dual carriageway. This shows houses built in the 1960's.

Some houses are also detached. With distance from the city centre the quality of the housing increases.
Hall Green was absorbed into the city boundary during the early 1900's. This large Victorian semi detached house is a contrast to the small terraced houses built in Sparkbrook at the same time.

The 1991 census shows 10% of houses in Hall Green are detached. This is a typical three bedroomed example.
This is a four bedroomed detached house. There appears to be a two car family reflecting affluence.
