YEAR - UPPER SIXTH
At King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys we offer a one year A2 level course which is studied in the Upper sixth. This qualification is gained by studying and taking three modules of the AQA Geography syllabus Specification B (A 6036). The modules you study in the Upper sixth for your A2 are:-
Module 4 Global Change.
13.1 Physical Geography: Seasonal Change; Long Term Change; Plate Tectonics
Physical processes (terrestrial, atmospheric and biotic), their interactions, spatial outcomes and changes over time. Climate - Soils - Vegetation - Plate Tectonics.
13.2 People and the Environment: Hazards; Conflicts over the use of a resource.
Interactions between people and their environments at different scales, focusing on relevant human and physical systems and processes, their outcomes, changes through time and consequent issues, responses and strategies. Burglary - Disease - Storms - Volcanoes - Earthquakes - Multiple Hazard - Conflict over the use of a resource.
13.3 Human Geography: Changes in countries in various states of development in the last 30 years.
 Human processes (economic, social, political and cultural), their interactions, spatial outcomes and changes over time. Transnational Companies - International Migration - Separatist Pressures - Development Issues.

Module 5. The Synoptic Module.
14.1- 14.6
The Synoptic Module for the A Level specification is an exercise in decision making and as such, demands the development of the range of geographical skills, knowledge and understanding identified in the specification.

Module 6. The practical paper.Human Option.
15.1 and 15.2.
The Practical paper is the alternative to the centre assessed Investigation.
Investigative work, based on evidence from primary sources, including fieldwork, secondary sources and appropriate practical skills and teachniques.
