CRUISE 2000 - Crete & Santorini

The storm in the night caused no delay and we arrived in the early morning to the harbour of Heraklion, the largest town on the largest of the Greek islands, Crete. Here we travelled independently to the town centre where we shopped enjoying the local colourful market.
We left Crete before lunch to sail north to the fabulous volcanic island of Santorini. We sailed into the crater and listened to the fascinating bridge commentary given by the Director of Studies, Mr David Baskott. We disembarked by tender and climbed to Thera where we witnessed a truly magical sunset .
