CRUISE 2001
Friday 19th Oct -Friday 26th Oct 2001 (Athens, Egypt, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Turkey) Fly to Athens, Greece where you are met and visit Athens City and the magnificent Acropolis, before joining your ‘floating hotel’ in time for dinner. You then set sail for Rhodes, where a half day tour will show you the stunning sights. A day at sea, to explore the ship and relax in the sun, before reaching Beirut, a beautiful city from where you can visit the stunning Jeita Caves which extend 6km into the mountains or Baalbeck, with its imposing temples of Bacchus, Jupiter and Venus.
From Beirut you voyage to Israel, with a chance to visit Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the Dead Sea. Jerusalem, of course, is famous for being of great religious and historical importance to several faiths and creeds and is also extremely beautiful and interesting. After the excitement and bustle of the two Israeli towns, enjoy a cooling and relaxing float in the salt waters of the Dead Sea before returning to the ship.
Now you sail west to Port Said, at the entrance to the Suez Canal, where you will join an exciting full day trip to Cairo and the Pyramids, with time to explore the famous vestiges of the Ancient Kings (and Queens!), and perhaps to ride a camel. After three full days ashore review all that you have seen and look forward to your final port of call, Kusadasi, Turkey, where you will visit the Graeco-Roman city of Ephesus en route to the airport for your return flight
