Infant Mortality

Reasons for low infant mortality are :-

High levels of health care : specialist areas of hospitals (eg Maternity Units), Immunisation.
High levels of education: antenatel/postnatel courses for patients;
High levels of nutrition for both mother and child
Monitoring services: health visitors, social workers

Longevity

Length of life. Longevity suggests a long average life span for the people of a country. This will be due to favourable diet, favourable healthcare, low infant mortality (see above), and high levels of education. Logevity is associated with More Economicall Developed Countries
